Starting with a Soweto Tour, you will then travel to Victoria Falls via a short flight. After spending a few days admiring the magnificent falls, youtrat will then embark on a luxury train journey to Pretoria, South Africa on Rovos Rail. Upon returning from the falls, we will do a Pretoria City Tour before returning you to the airport for your onward journey home.

This tour is quoted with a Deluxe Suite on Rovos Rail. There are also the more budget friendly Pullman Suites and more luxurious Royal Suites available. Please feel free to enquire for the cost of the tour with either of these two options. A saving of 3% can be offered on any of the above tour prices should you choose to make payment by bank transfer as opposed to credit card.
Day one of the Victoria Falls holiday tour (Thursday)
Guests arrive at OR Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg) in the morning where they will be met by one of our tour guides. We then depart the airport for a half day Soweto and Johannesburg Tour. Highlights of this African tour include visiting Nelson Mandela’s old house, the Regina Mundi Church and the Hector Pietersen Memorial. We then travel past downtown Johannesburg before dropping you off back at your hotel near to OR Tambo International Airport. The rest of the evening is spent at your leisure at your hotel, which is situated inside the Emperor’s Palace Casino and Entertainment Complex.

Day two of the tour (Friday)
This morning after breakfast you will board a complimentary shuttle bus from your hotel to OR Tambo International Airport where you will board an onward flight to Livingstone, Zambia to begin your Victoria Falls trip. At Livingstone Airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the Victoria Falls, to which you have unlimited access.

Day three of the tour (Saturday)
A full day is to be spent at your leisure in Livingstone. There are many optional extra activities that you may decide to do today. Day four of the Victoria Falls tour (Sunday)
This morning is spent at leisure, after which you transfer to the town of Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwe side of the border. Here you will board one of the world’s most luxurious trains, namely the Rovos Rail. The times are as follows:
10:00 Depart Victoria Falls Station.
13:00 Lunch is served in the Dining Car.
19:30 Dinner is served in the Dining Car.
Overnight: Rovos Rail (Lunch, Dinner, Bed and Breakfast)
Day five of the tour (Monday)
07:00 Breakfast is served in the Dining Car.
13:00 Lunch is served in the Dining Car.
19:30 Dinner is served as the train heads towards Lobatse.
23:00 Arrive at Mafikeng for border formalities.
Overnight: Rovos Rail (Lunch, Dinner, Bed and Breakfast)
Day six of the tour (Tuesday)
05:00 The train departs Mafikeng.
07:00 Breakfast is served in the Dining Car.
13:00 Lunch is served in the Dining Car.
16:00 A short stop in Pyramid where the Rovos steam engines take over the haulage of the train.
17:00 rrive at journey’s end, the gracious Capital Park Station in Pretoria.
Please note that the abovementioned Rovos Section could be routed southwards through Beitbridge in Zimbabwe depending on railway capacity. On arrival in Pretoria at Capital Park Station you will be met by a Victoria Falls tour guide. You will then transfer to your guest house where you will have an evening spent at leisure.

Day seven of the tour (Wednesday)
After breakfast, you will be met by your Victoria Falls trip guide who will take you for a half day Pretoria City Tour. This tour takes you to the Voortrekker Monument where we learn about the days of the Great Trek. After that we drive to Kruger House where we get to look around before continuing on to Church Square. From there we travel up to the Union Buildings where we stop and spend some time at the headquarters of South Africa. Once the tour has ended you will be transferred to OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg where you will be dropped off in order to board your onward flight home, ending your travels to Victoria Falls.
