Hermanus:
Originally known as Hermanuspietersfontein, the quaint seaside village of Hermanus annually hosts the wildly popular Whale Festival. The town has the distinction of having been named the best land-based whale watching destination in the whole world and rightly so. Southern Right whales migrate to the temperate waters of Walker Bay each June through December to mate, allowing visitors to view them cavorting from a boat, airplane and the shore.
The Garden Route:
The extremely popular Garden Route takes in towns such as Mossel Bay, George, Oudtshoorn, Knysna, Plettenberg Bay, Tsitsikamma and Port Elizabeth. Our Garden Route tours also include a number of malaria-free game reserves in this region. Mountains crowd close to a beautiful shoreline that lies dotted with intimate beaches and bays. Our meandering trail also takes us past lakes, indigenous forests and gently flowing rivers that are great for swimming, boating and fishing.
