Journey into Africa has acquired the well-known South African golf tour company Green Jacket Golf Tours and Safaris who have been involved in arranging golf tours in South Africa since 2003. This acquisition now enables us to expand our services to include the finest golf tours South Africa has to offer, under the Journey into Africa brand. South Africa is one of the world’s premier golfing destinations and very affordable for golfers of any level. We offer a variety of golf tour options that include set itineraries, tailor-made tours, guided tours and self drive tours. Top golfing regions can be broken down as follows:

Cape Town, Garden Route and Winelands Area:
The Western Cape Province is probably the most popular golfing region in South Africa. Cape Town boasts fantastic golf courses that can be combined with a variety of amazing African tours. In the Winelands you will get to mix a morning round of golf with an afternoon of wine tasting at some of the finest wine estates in the country. On the Garden Route, courses such as Fancourt, Pinnacle Point, Pezula and Simola are just a few of the amazing courses you will find.

Fancourt Golf Resort & Spa:
Fancourt is undoubtedly Africa's premier golfing resort and is home to three highly rated Championship golf courses, as well as the Western Cape's premier 18-hole public course. The Gary Player-designed links golf course was host to the Presidents Cup in 2003. We offer a number of stay-and-play tour options and specials that include a foray to this amazing resort.

Limpopo Province & Kruger Park Area:
South Africa provides some of the finest game viewing in the world. Why not combine some great golf with an African safari? On many of the golf courses in the Limpopo Province and Kruger National Park area you will find wild animals such as giraffe, zebra, hippo, crocodiles, warthog and many others. The number one golf course in the country, Leopard Creek, can also be found in this area. Other courses that are worth a mention include the Hans Merensky, Euphoria, Zebula and Elements Golf Courses.

Sun City Area:
Sun City is commonly referred to as a "Mini-Vegas" which can be attributed to its hotels, casino, entertainment facilities and two golf courses. The resort offers four hotels, as well as the Gary Player Golf Course and Lost City Golf Course. The Gary Player Golf Course is possibly the most well-known course in South Africa and annually plays host to some of the world's top golfers during the Nedbank Million Dollar Golf Challenge. The Lost City Course is a pleasure to play at and has a fantastic 13th hole where you will need to clear a crocodile pit to in order to reach the green.

Kwazulu-Natal Area:
The KwaZulu-Natal Province is probably the best region for year-round golf in South Africa due to its excellent climate. There are some great golf courses in and around Durban itself but most of the leisure courses can be found along the northern and southern coastline. This region is perfect for self drive golf tours. Along the north coast you will definitely need to play at Zimbali and Prince's Grant; while on the south coast you will find Selborne, Southbroom, Wild Coast and San Lameer. In the Drakensberg area the Champagne Sports Resort course is a must.

What our guests have to say...

Our tour was very well organized over the internet at a reasonable price and more than met our expectations. We would have no hesitation in recommending Journey Into Africa to our friends.
