About the Lodge:
Chapungu Luxury Tented Camp is a lodge with warmth and colour and in true African style, the luxury tents overlook the magnificent bushveld. When staying here guests while away moments relaxing and reflecting on the tranquility and intimacy afforded by this small camp. It is an ideal entry level lodge where meals are taken together to afford the opportunity for all guests to share the excitement of the day's game viewing experiences. Situated a few minutes drive from Thornybush Game Lodge, where extensive spa treatments are available to all Chapungu Tented Camp guests. This is the perfect lodge for a safari experience on the doorstep of the Kruger National Park.

Accommodation:
There are eight luxury tents that can sleep up to a maximum of 16 guests. Each tent has private facilities and they are connected by a pathway that leads to the main camp. Rooms all feature a bushveld bath as well as overhead ceiling fan and air-conditioner.

Activities and Facilities:
Chapungu Luxury Tented Camp offers sunrise and sunset open 4x4 safari vehicle game drives each day within the Thornybush Private Game Reserve as well as the opportunity to partake in a bush walk each morning after breakfast. The reserve is home to the 'Big 5' (Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Leopard) as well as an abundance of other mammals and birdlife.

Chapungu is tastefully furnished in old-world colonial splendour and offers safari enthusiasts an atmosphere reminiscent to the style and class of that bygone era complete with great cuisine and old fashioned service.
