Zambia Safaris |
An African safari in Zambia will provide you with a taste of the ‘real’ Africa. The genuinely wild national parks such as South Luangwa and Kafue are roamed by some of the world’s most fierce predators such as lions and cheetah as well as majestic elephant herds and towering Giraffe. On top of the national parks, the country borders with Zimbabwe by the Victoria Falls at a town called Livingstone, and this shares the great Zambezi River. The Zambia safaris that we offer at Journey Into Africa Tours and Safaris are a mix of budget camping trips on overland vehicles, as well as fly-in hotel stays to visit the Victoria Falls in Livingstone.
A visit to the South Luangwa National Park will surely be a Zambian safari holiday worth taking. It has slowly gained its reputation as one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in the world and the array of wildlife around the Luangwa River and the lagoons are incredible to behold. One animal you won't miss out on seeing is the hippopotamus. As you cross over the bridge into the park, there are constantly between 30 and 70 hippos splashing about in the water below and it is estimated that there are around 50 hippos per kilometre of the Luangwa River. Zebra, giraffe, lion, leopards, crocodiles, antelope and a whole lot more can be seen during a visit to this area. To find the perfect trip for you, why not choose Journey into Africa where you will not only find safaris in Zambia, but in most other Southern African countries such as Botswana, Namibia and South Africa.
