  This has become known as one of the world's best conservation areas and is situated on the southern edge of the Great Rift Valley. Animals here include lion, leopard, civet, genet, serval, elephant, buffalo, zebra, hippo, crocodile and many others.


• Limpopo National Park:
  This park is linked with the South Africa's Kruger National Park and is home to the "Big Five" (elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo).


• Niassa Reserve:
  This reserve is one of the largest protected Miombo woodland ecosystems in the world. Along with the wide variety of wildlife, a number of exotic birds also call the area home, and this is one of the reasons that it is such a big attraction for birders around the globe.
