A 4 day game viewing experience in the Kruger National Park region that lets you enjoy a sunset drive and two days of game viewing in Balule Game Reserve and the Kruger National Park on open game viewing vehicles. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy a bush walk with an armed ranger and take in the spectacular views along the Blyde River Canyon before returning back to Johannesburg.

Day 1 of the Kruger Park tour
Our guests are collected from hotels, guesthouses and private homes in Gauteng where they are residing, as well as from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. We drive through the Highveld farmlands to the striking Lowveld, then onwards to Tremisana Game Lodge. After arrival you will have a short break to rest in your room, swim in the pool or if you wish, relax at the bar - even unwind in the beautiful gardens. At to 17:00 you will board the open top Landcruiser for a Sunset Drive. A qualified guide will assist you in your first exciting opportunity to experience the varied African wildlife, fauna and flora of the Kruger National Park. View the spectacular African sunset and after dark, use spotlights to locate nocturnal animals. Dinner in the Boma will be a traditional South African meal. We overnight in the Balule Game Reserve at the Tremsiana Game Lodge in comfortable, air-conditioned en suite thatch-roofed chalets. Dinner, bed and breakfast are included.

Day 2 of the tour
Your invigorating African holiday continues at sunrise for another exhilarating day of unforgettable bush experience. Drive to a remote part of the Balule Plains, and enjoy a four hour “walk on the wild side”. An experienced Kruger National Park field guide will then lead you through the bush at a pace you can handle in search of the Big Five. The thrill of following Africa’s large animals in the pursuit to draw near enough to take a good photo will remain with you forever. Your adrenalin will surge but fear not, your ranger is adequately armed in case of potential danger. We then return to Tremisana at around 11:30 for brunch, after which you may swim or sleep in your air-conditioned chalet. The new Lapa has extensive wildlife books and magazines. After high tea at 15:30, we go on an afternoon game drive. Your ranger will be in constant radio contact with the warden, keeping us informed of the movements of the animals. Unlike the Kruger Park, limited off-road driving is permitted in Balule Game Reserve to get a closer view of the Big Five. Return to Tremisana for dinner at 20:00 and overnight until the Kruger National Park tour starts on day three. Dinner, bed and breakfast are included.

Day 3 of the tour
Drive to the Orpen Gate of the Kruger park (in South Africa), where we transfer to a custom-designed, open-sided Gameviewer. The open vehicle allows for a total wildlife opportunity - you will not only have an amazing opportunity to view game, but also to experience the sounds and smells of the African bush and its denizens. There are no windows - this, combined with your elevated vantage position, will allow for excellent photographic opportunities. Your experienced guide will show you many animals and birds that frequent this paradise in the wild. We have regular stops at picnic spots, rest camps and places of interest. The Orpen-Satara-Nwanedzi regions have open plains and support large herds of zebra, giraffe and antelope that attract numerous predators. We then overnight once more at the Tremisana Game Lodge in the Balule Game Reserve. Dinner, bed and breakfast are included for this leg of the tour.

Day 4 of the tour
Enjoy an early morning Sunrise Drive on Balule in an open Landcruiser. After breakfast, there is an opportunity to purchase some memorabilia from the shop and to take your last photos of the luxuriant lush gardens at Tremisana. We then drive to the awesome Blyde River Canyon and view the Three Rondawels. We then return to Johannesburg where we will drop you at either OR Tambo International Airport or the accommodation of your choice. Your Kruger Park tour in South Africa ends here, but the memories will linger forever.
