Our Kruger National Park safaris mainly traverse the southernmost regions of the park and you will visit rest camps such as Berg-En-Dal, Lower Sabie, Pretoriuskop, Skukuza, Satara, Olifants and Letaba. We also offer visitors the opportunity to stay at Kwa-Madwala Private Game Reserves and other smaller private game lodges surrounding the Kruger National Park.

No other sanctuary in Africa can match the Kruger in the sheer number and variety of its life forms: the savannah plains of the park, the forest and its rivers are home to:
  • Nearly 150 kinds of mammal, including the ‘Big Five’ (lion, elephant, rhino, leopard and buffalo)
  • More than 500 bird species
  • 112 reptile types (50 of them are snakes of one sort or another)
  • 49 different kinds of fish
  • 34 species of amphibian
  • An uncountable number of insects
  • 500 types of trees; as well as a vast array of shrubs, grasses and bulbous plants
Add to this a passionate staff, several lovely accommodation venues and incredible scenery and you will be rest assured that your safari will be an unforgettable experience.

The Kruger National Park is the same size as Wales and larger than the state of Hawaii, but plans are well under way to make it even bigger, extending its boundaries into neighbouring Zimbabwe and Mozambique in order to create a giant, 35, 000 sq kilometre wildlife conservation area to be known as the Greater Limpopo Transfrontier Park.

The lowveld’s climate is subtropical, with hints of the tropical in its northern parts. The summer rains are often heavy with plenty of thunder and lightning. Winters are mild and bone-dry. This means that during the summer, one can expect the bush to be lush, thick and beautifully green. The result is strong, healthy animals, but the tall grass can make it a bit harder to spot them. Due to the lack of rain during winter months, the bush thins out and the animals tend to congregate around the waterholes resulting in some excellent game viewing, although the terrain is not all that pleasing to the eye.

As far as African safaris go, the best wildlife experiences are often enjoyed at the hand of a guide. By opting for a guided excursion, you ensure that you have the vast knowledge and enthusiasm of a passionate THETA-registered tour guide at your disposal. Their unparalleled experience and love of the wild will enhance your park experience far beyond what you ever dreamed could be possible.

What our guests have to say...

This was our first safari experience so we do not have a previous safari experience to compare it against. However in terms of our expectations the whole holiday far exceeded them. It has been a magical honeymoon experience and the variety of activities offered something different everyday.
