Day 1 of the tour 11:00 Depart Cape Town on Rovos Rail Edwardian Train Safari. 18:00 Arrive Matjiesfontein, time to explore this Victorian Village before dinner and overnight on the train.

Day 2 of the tour 12:30 Lunch will be served in the Dining Car. 14:00 Arrive in Kimberley and visit to the Big Hole and Diamond Museum. 16:00 Depart Kimberley. 20:00 Dinner and overnight on the train.

Day 3 of the tour 11:30 Arrive in Pretoria. We have a light lunch followed by a Pretoria City Tour. 18:00 Depart Pretoria.

Day 4 of the tour 11:00 Arrive in Zeerust for a full board two night stay at the 5* Tau Game Lodge.

Day 5 of the tour Early morning game drive, evening game drive or guest activities. Overnight at 5* Tau Game Lodge.

Day 6 of the tour This morning you will have another early morning game drive. 12:00 Depart Zeerust for Gaborone, Botswana and border formalities.

Day 7 of the tour 06:00 After border formalities we travel into Zimbabwe with morning and afternoon lectures provided by the historian.

Day 8 of the tour 10:00 Arrive in Victoria Falls. We transfer from the Station to the Victoria Falls Hotel. 16:00 Sunset Cruise on the Zambezi River. 20:00 Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 9 of the tour Day at leisure. You may decide to take a tour of the Victoria Falls, a game of golf, or the Flight of Angels over the falls. 15:00 Transfer to the Station for departure from Victoria Falls for Zimbabwe and Zambia border formalities.

Day 10 of the tour 13:00 Pass through Lusaka. Breakfast, lunch and dinner on board with lectures in the morning and afternoon.

Day 11 of the tour Day at leisure. Breakfast, lunch and dinner on board with lectures in the morning and afternoon.

Day 12 of the tour 08:00 Disembark at Kasama for an excursion to Chisimba Falls. 16:45 Arrive Nakonde/ Tunduma for Zambian/ Tanzanian border control. Breakfast lunch and dinner on board.

Day 13 of the tour 10:00 Arrive Makambako. Descend the spectacular pass to Mlimba.

Day 14 of the tour 01:00 Arrive in Kiduna and continue your journey through Mzenga to Dar Es Salaam. Breakfast will be had on board the train. 10:00 Arrive Tazara Station in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.
This journey is also available in reverse from Dar Es Salaam to Cape Town with optional pre and post tours available.
A Medical Practitioner, Hair Stylist & Historian accompany the train at various stages of the journey.

- Passengers are advised to take anti-malarial precautions as might be prescribed.
- Passengers are requested to have yellow fever inoculations before commencing the journey.
Important Medical Note In May 2011 the World Heath Organisation (WHO) revised the Yellow Fever vaccination recommendations for Africa. The South African Department of Health has subsequently issued a statement that as of 01 October 2011 all travellers from Zambia going to South Africa, and travellers that have recently visited Zambia, will now require proof of a yellow fever vaccination. Previously, this was not required. All in-transit passengers between the two destinations, irrespective of the time period in transit, will also require proof of yellow fever vaccination.
