About the Lodge: Imbued with the spirit of Mala Mala, the Sable Camp is a more intimate version of the Main Camp and the choice for those seeking a more private and intimate safari. Situated at the southern end of the Mala Mala Camp in a prime elevated position overlooking the Sand River and surrounding bushveld, Mala Mala Sable Camp accommodates a maximum of 14 guests. It may also be reserved exclusively for between 10 and 18 guests - but book early! Each of the individually decorated, spacious and comfortable suites under traditional thatching occupies an idyllic vantage point and provides a platform from which to admire the panoramic view.

Accommodation: The camp has 5 Luxury Suites, and the Lions Den Suite which can accommodate 4 guests in two rooms (separated by a large sitting room). Each of the rooms has "His and Hers bathrooms", 24-hour temperature control, direct dial telephones, mini-bar, mini-safe, bathroom amenities such as insect repellent and hairdryers as well as tea and coffee making facilities. Family rooms are available to accommodate a third adult and are available on request.

Activities and Facilities: In the "Big 5" (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo) Mala Mala Private Game Reserve game viewing is as good as it gets when on a Kruger National Park safari. Most days start with an early morning game drive followed by breakfast and then the chance to do a bush walk. Late afternoon you will then once again board your safari vehicle for a sunset game drive which will also include some time driving around at night with the use of a spotlight. On the game drives comfort will be guaranteed as vehicles are only allowed a maximum of 6 guests.
