About the Lodge:
Set on the banks of the Klaserie River which flows throughout the year this lodge has  two luxury tents, five suites and five superior suites that make up Kapama Karula Lodge - "the place of peace" - and they are in every way true to their name. The river glides smoothly forming sparkling pools that attract smaller riverine animals and a myriad of birds in every season.

The Kapama Private Game Reserve is situated in the vicinity of the Kruger Park and is home to the 'Big 5' (Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Leopard) as well as a variety of other game species.

The lodge is child friendly allowing children to share the superior suites with two adults.

Accommodation:
Consists of 2 luxury tents, 5 suites  and 5 superior suites all the epitomy of luxury with air-conditioning.

Luxury Tents:
These tents with full bush view are more secluded and nestled away from the suites and superior suites in the camp. The two Tents are en-suite with outside shower, his and hers basins, bath, mini bar and fridge, room safe, air-conditioning, telephones, wireless internet connection and an outside wooden deck.

Suites:
There are new Suites at Kapama Karula, each luxurious suite measuring 85 square metres with inside and outside rain showers, his and hers basins, bath, full bar and fridge, coffee station with coffee machine, room safe, air conditioning, overhead fans, telephones, wall mount international adapter, wireless internet connection and iPod docking station. Sliding glass doors offer unrestrictive views onto the Klaserie River. Guests are welcome to make use of the public pool and bar area.

Superior Suites:
There are Superior suites at Kapama Karula, each enjoying their own exquisitely large private space. The suites measuring a generous 130 square metres with inside and outside rain showers, his and hers basins, bath, full bar and fridge, coffee station with coffee machine, room safe, air conditioning, overhead fans, telephones, wall mount international adapter, wireless internet connection, iPod docking station and fitted with a gas fireplace. The sliding glass doors that wrap around the suite 260 degrees, offer the opportunity to have unrestrictive views onto one of the most sought after locations - the Klaserie River. Each suite has an outside deck with private lap pool and sun loungers.

Then two of the Superior suites, measuring a 170 square metres are truly breathtaking and ideal when travelling with children. The open plan living room with its own fire place blends into the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, inside and outside rain shower, his and hers basins, bath, full bar and fridge, coffee station with coffee machine, room safe, air conditioning, overhead fans, direct telephone lines, wall mount international adapter, wireless internet connection and an iPod docking station. Each suite is fitted with sliding glass doors, that wrap around the suite and offer the opportunity to have unrestrictive views of the Klaserie River. Both suites have an outside deck with a private lap pool and sun loungers. The second bedroom leads from the main living room with an inter-leading door (or the room can also be entered by its own separate entrance). The room is en-suite with inside shower, his and hers basins, bath, juice bar and fridge, coffee station, air conditioning, overhead fans, direct dial telephones, wall mount international adapter, wireless internet connection, Flat screen TV with a Wii game console and a blueray player. These suites offer the ultimate in luxury to enjoy with your family on safari.

What our guests have to say...

The Kruger Park was our last destination on our nine month trip around the world. We couldn't have hoped for a better end to our trip. The tour was perfectly organized with a lot of unforgettable moments. Although we had been longing for months to go home and finally see our family and friends again, we really didn't want to end our stay at the wonderful Kwa-Madwala Game Reserve. Thank you so much for the greatest tour!
