About the Lodge:
Kalahari Desert Camp is situated on the north-eastern section of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve in a private wildlife reserve of some 15 hectares. It is a small and intimate camp catering for just 12 guests and offers privacy with an exclusive experience of the magnificent landscape. Activities focus on day and night drives as well as bush walks and cultural visits to the Herero tribe. When on safari in Botswana you will find a stay in the Kalahari very different to anywhere else in the country.

Accommodation:
Guests are accommodated in 6 large meru style tents that are elevated on a platform. Each tent is tastefully furnished with either, twin or double bed configurations, a relaxation area and en-suite bathrooms with al fresco showers.

Activities and Facilities:
Kalahari Desert Camp has a well appointed dining area, lounge, swimming pool and viewing deck that overlooks an active waterhole.

This is a land camp that offers game drives (including night drives). The game experience can be enhanced through off-road operating which is key to delivering a quality Kalahari game viewing experience with its vast open areas. Besides the day and night drives the lodge can also offer bush walks with a guide and tracker.

Due to the proximity of the entrance gate to the Central Kalahari Game Reserve you will also be able to do full day trips into this reserve as well as overnight camping. This offers you the best of both worlds - and exclusive reserve combined with the magic of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve.

Different areas of Botswana each have a unique cultural identity and the Kalahari Desert Camp is located in an area where it is possible to have cultural interaction with the Herero tribe who own cattle posts just outside the boundaries of the concession. Visitors will get to experience the Herero women milking their cows and learn their way of living, including the preparation of yoghurt, singing and dancing to their traditional songs.
