Budget safaris in South Africa and the rest of Southern Africa are the perfect option for individuals who would love to travel in Africa but do not particularly enjoy camping. Do you enjoy your creature comforts? Would you prefer continued quality of service throughout your budget safari? We offer a full range of accommodated limited participation safaris that will be the perfect option for you and your travelling party.

We are affiliated with a number of small hotels, chalets, cabins and permanent tented lodges throughout Southern Africa and these high quality establishments accommodate the groups that choose to participate in our smaller, group-based budget safaris.

Accommodation is based on a twin share basis, some of which feature en-suite bathrooms and some of which share communal ablutions. These lodgings vary from twin bed permanent tents in a lodge, to rooms in a hotel a few metres from the beach. All are comfortable, clean and friendly.

With a professional guide to lead your budget safari and a comfortable bed to sleep in every night, you are assured of a fantastic holiday. You will not find a better quality, value for money safari anywhere else.

Participation:
Your tour leader will purchase and prepare all included meals. An essential part of your  African safari is participation. It is all part of your adventure and when everyone pitches in to help with the packing up in the morning and clearing after meals, the trip is sure to run smoothly. Team spirit is after all, part of the fun.

Wholesome Meals:
We create three scrumptious meals per day (unless otherwise specified in the itinerary). This includes everything from lunch on the day of departure until breakfast on the last day of your tour. Good healthy meals make for happy travellers! The tour leaders do all the shopping and meal planning for each group and will try to obtain fresh produce wherever possible. A cooler box will be provided for your drinks.

Local Payments:
A local payment is required on each budget safari and this will be collected by your tour leader before departure on the first day. This covers a portion of the local operational costs, which includes entrance- and park fees. It also ensures that a major portion of your tour price goes directly into the economy of the country you are visiting, benefiting local communities and contributing to the conservation of the area.

Your Safari Vehicle:
African conditions are incredibly diverse, therefore we travel in custom-built vehicles that allow us to be completely self-sufficient while on safari. Eleven years of tour operating experience have gone into the design of the safari trucks and they have most certainly proven themselves, time and time again. The vehicles are built in compliance with the very latest South African safety regulation; all the while ensuring passenger comfort with ample legroom and large windows for unobstructed photography. All of our vehicles are bought new and serviced by Mercedes and Toyota agents, ensuring trouble-free touring and backup support in practically every town in Southern Africa. Certain National Parks in Botswana are suitable for use of our open four-wheel drive game viewing vehicles which offer unobstructed views for the best possible game viewing experience.

Journey Into Africa offers a small number of budget safaris in South Africa and other regions of Southern Africa that include overland cabin tour facilities.
